This is not a product comparison. It is a comparison of two ways to run your business.
| Big-brand channel | UNIONCARE private label | |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | Container or high MOQ | 50 units per SKU |
| Who sets your retail price | The brand | You |
| Product identity | Their brand — any competitor can buy the same SKU | Your brand — nobody else has it |
| Landed cost | FOB plus your freight, duty and brokerage | DDP — one number to your door |
| New SKU lead time | 60–90 days | Ready stock; 5–6 weeks door-to-door |
| Reimbursement position | Set by the brand and the payer | Yours to document and file |
| What you own at the end | Inventory and a customer relationship | Inventory, customers, and a brand |
A big brand gives you recognition you do not have to build. If your customers walk in asking for a name they already know, that has value — and no private-label programme replaces it overnight.
What a big brand does not give you is a price you control or a product nobody else can undercut. If you sell the same SKU as the dealer two towns over, the only lever left is price.
Reimbursement-heavy lines where brand recognition drives referral, or where your volume is too concentrated on one SKU to justify your own artwork. Be clear-eyed about it.
